QLOUD - The advanced 3D area cleaning tool
Over the last year,QPS has been working on a new 3D data cleaning tool, called Qloud. Qloud is being specially developed to handle extremely large areas of multibeam data and perform statistical data cleaning using parameters such as Total Propagated Error (TPE) in algorithms such as CUBE (developed by the Ocean Mapping Group at the University of New Hampshire) and the Least Square Statistical Spline method. Qloud makes sure that the operator can scroll fast through the data and have an instant look at the problem areas.
